Electrician

| Under general supervision, electricians perform the full range of journey-level skilled electrical and related work, including installation, maintenance, modification and repair of electrical apparatuses, equipment and systems. Incumbent installs and maintains typical and specialized electrical systems, and provides electrical support for related trades, such as HVAC and telecommunications. Work includes both new installations and repairs/retrofitting. Responsibilities include support services for campus events, such as setup and removal of temporary power. Incumbent performs routine operational duties such as tracking work orders, preparing cost estimates, maintaining inventory, monitoring and inspecting the work of contractors, preparing reports and ordering supplies. Electricians are required to be on standby for emergency repairs, as scheduled.
Facilities Management and Services (FMS) is a large, multifaceted department consisting of employees working various shifts providing diverse administrative and operational services campus wide.

| Working independently under general direction, this position provides essential front-line administrative support to the College of Engineering, Computer Science, and Construction Management (ECC) Dean’s Office, as well as broad administrative support to the college’s six academic departments, three technician shops, two student success centers, more than 80 instructional faculty, 21 support staff and administrators, 10+ student employees, and over 2,200 majors.
This position ensures continuity and operational stability within the college by serving as a key administrative resource for students, staff, faculty, and visitors. In coordination with the College Administrative Analyst/Specialist and the Dean, the Administrative Support Coordinator (ASC) oversees day-to-day operations for the Student Success Center and the Concrete Industry Management (CIMT) program, manages college-level curriculum and retention, tenure, and promotion (RTP) processes, and supports the administrative needs of the technician shops. Additionally, the ASC provides direct administrative support to the Dean, Associate Dean, AA/S, and Marketing and Communications Specialist, ensuring the smooth operation of daily office functions.
