The Program of Social Sciences seeks applicants for its part-time lecturer pool. We are seeking experienced, well-organized, and student-centered individuals to teach in the subject area of social sciences. Candidates must have at least a Master’s degree in a field relevant to the curriculum of the social sciences. Preference will be given to candidates who have prior teaching experience at the college or university level and who can furnish evidence of strong teaching. A Ph.D. is desirable, but not required. Candidates should demonstrate their ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students. Preference will be given to those with experience in working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment. Candidates for this position should possess good organizational and communication skills with a drive to enhance student success. This position will involve teaching laboratory, discussion, and/or lecture sections in any of our subject areas: General Biology, Microbiology, Anatomy and Physiology, Cellular and Molecular Biology, Organismal Biology, Ecology and Population Biology, or specialized topics in the discipline. A successful candidate will be a member of the CSUSB community for one semester, either Fall 2027 (mid Aug- mid Dec) or Spring 2028 (mid Jan – late May). This position is designed for scholars taking a semester sabbatical from a home institution or as a postdoc for an up-and-coming scholar. The applicant should specialize in Ancient Egyptian History, Archaeology, Religion, Society, or Art anytime between the Predynastic to the Roman Periods. The successful candidate will receive housing, a partial meal plan, $2,500 towards relocation expenses, and a $27,000 stipend. CSUSB hosts the Robert and Frances Fullerton Museum of Art (RAFFMA), which includes an important collection of approximately 500 artifacts dating from the Predynastic Period to the Coptic Period. The Department of History at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) invites applications for the Adina Lee Savin and W Benson Harer Visiting Scholar in Egyptology. A successful candidate will be a member of the CSUSB community for one semester, either Fall 2027 (mid Aug- mid Dec) or Spring 2028 (mid Jan – late May). This position is designed for scholars taking a semester sabbatical from a home institution or as a postdoc for an up-and-coming scholar. The applicant should specialize in Ancient Egyptian History, Archaeology, Religion, Society, or Art anytime between the Predynastic to the Roman Periods. The successful candidate will receive housing, a partial meal plan, $2,500 towards relocation expenses, and a $27,000 stipend. CSUSB hosts the Robert and Frances Fullerton Museum of Art (RAFFMA), which includes an important collection of approximately 500 artifacts dating from the Predynastic Period to the Coptic Period. The department is seeking experienced, well-organized, and student-centered individuals to teach in any of our four programs: Environmental Health Science, Nutritional Science & Dietetics, Health Services Administration and Public Health. Candidates must have at least a Master’s degree, or specialized certification for activity classes, in a field of Health Science or related discipline. The Department invites applications from teacher-scholars whose research and teaching are situated at the intersection of family studies and child development. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in families with young children and who have the ability to teach courses in family studies, early childhood development, and early childhood education. Qualified candidates are those that possess the necessary content expertise in family studies, specialize in studying early childhood development, and engage in scholarship and teaching supporting historically underrepresented groups, diversity, equity, and/or social justice.
