Under general direction, The Human Resources Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for the division of Human Resources. Greets customers with enthusiasm and identifies their needs via phone or in-person. Provides an array of administrative support to the Employment Services team. Coordinates the onboarding program which includes reviewing and preparing sign-in documents, checking electronic sign-in process, setting up the conference room and onboarding new hires. Provides guidance on recruitment processes and status updates, posting career opportunities as needed, receiving and maintaining confidential information/data and entering data in automated Human Resources systems and databases. Assists with the training of student assistant.
Responsible for maintaining and archiving recruitment files, gathering data to create reports, and interacting with and solving problems for customers and department staff. Uses customer service and problem solving skills to respond to applicants and customers via email, telephone, and in person. Coordinates and schedules meetings and events. Coordinates and works with individuals at all levels within the organization. |

Reporting to the Vice President for Student Affairs, the Associate Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students (AVPDOS) is a member of the Division of Student Affairs Leadership Team and a larger leadership team that includes student affairs directors and the university’s administrative council. The AVPDOS serves as second-in-charge of the division and has direct administrative responsibility for the following areas: Associated Students Incorporated, Basic Needs & Student Support, Children’s Center, Student Conduct and Ethical Development, Santos Manuel Student Union, Student Recreation and Wellness Center, Department of Housing and Residential Education, Office of Student Leadership & Engagement, and the CARE team. In coordination with the Associate Dean of Students, the AVPDOS oversees the establishment and training of hearing panels, assures the adjudication of student code of conduct violations, and coordinates the Division of Student Affairs response to student emergencies. In addition, the AVPDOS advises the Vice President on matters pertaining to student engagement and success; develops, implements, and assesses programs, services, and initiatives that enhance the overall student experience on campus; and serves as an advisor to Associated Students Incorporated. |

The Assistant Director reports to the Associate Dean/ Director of Student Conduct and Ethical Development. Possessing progressively responsible administrative experience in coordinating student disciplinary case management, initiating student development and educational programs, and peer education programs, the incumbent will review, investigate, develop thorough investigative reports, adjudicate, develop and implement intentional disciplinary and educational sanctions, and manage an independent caseload of alleged violations to the Standards for Student Conduct. This position works collaboratively with numerous campus partners and may be asked to present workshops and other educational programs to students, faculty and staff. |
