University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB ("UEC") supports the university's educational mission by providing quality services that complement the instructional program. The University depends upon UEC to provide services that cannot be supported with state funds. We’re responsible for business enterprises on campus including, but not limited to, dining, bookstore, convenience store, and vending services. We also serve as the grantee for federal, state, and local funding for research and sponsored projects.

Position Summary

Temporary, part time, non-benefited position through 12/31/2024 (Appointment may be renewed annually based upon availability of funds, availability of work and satisfactory job performance). 

Salary: $55.00 per hour

Location: Palm Desert, CA

Work Schedule

Up to 19 hours per week. Monday to Friday, typically scheduled within the hours of 8AM to 5PM. Some nights and weekends may be required.

Typical Activities

Under minimal supervision of the PI & Co-PI, the  NCLEX Success Specialist will work independently to:

  1. Assess cohort test scores (Mountain Measurement and ATI) and create a plans for improvement.
  2. Collaborate with faculty and students to implement plans for improvement.
  3. Meet with students who are performing below level 2 on the ATI proctored exams and discuss plans for improvement.
  4. Assess and evaluate senior students’ test scores and work with faculty to improve comprehensive predictor scores.
  5. Work with Department Chair, Program Director (PD) and Curriculum Committee (CC) to create a plan to improve the NCLEX Mountain Measurement scores.
  6. Present plans for improvement to CC and Faculty Organization
  7. In consultation with PD, Assistant PD, and CC, assess and evaluate ATI comprehensive predictor scores and develop plans for improvement.
  8. In consultation with PD, help students prepare for their NCLEX-RN application.
  9. Collect and report outcome data to PI, Co-PI, and other DON committees.
  10. Other position related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s degree in nursing

  • Experience: Part/full-time Faculty in Nursing Education, Proficient in ATI and Evolve Products

  • Additional Qualifications: Proficient in Excel, Microsoft, ATI, Evolve Products, and/or other related learning management systems. Good customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experienced in coaching nursing students with NCLEX success.
