University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB ("UEC") supports the university's educational mission by providing quality services that complement the instructional program. The University depends upon UEC to provide services that cannot be supported with state funds. We’re responsible for business enterprises on campus including, but not limited to, dining, bookstore, convenience store, and vending services. We also serve as the grantee for federal, state, and local funding for research and sponsored projects.

Position Summary

Temporary, Part Time, Non-Benefited position through June 30, 2026 (Appointment may be renewed annually based upon availability of funds, availability of work and satisfactory job performance). 

Salary: $28.00 per hour.

Location: Off campus. Various sites in the Inland Empire.

Work Schedule

Up to 10 hours per week. Schedule to be determined.

Typical Activities

Under minimal supervision of the Program Director, the Parent Educator will work independently to:

  • Provide parent education courses for parents/caregivers in an in -person group format or online.
  • Duties include facilitating 9-session parenting courses.
  • Parent educators may also be asked to do “one-time” presentations on various parenting topics in the local area.
  • Parent educators will also be expected to complete necessary paperwork and facilitate after-class debriefing sessions with children’s program staff as needed.
  • Parent educators must follow a fully developed parent education model (and will be trained to use this model before leading groups).

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Masters degree in child development, early childhood education, clinical counseling, social work, school counseling, school psychology or a related field (or concurrent enrollment in a master’s program).
  • Experience:
    • Experience in child/family intervention
  • Other:
    • Ability to travel throughout the Inland Empire to various sites.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Undergraduate major in child development, human development, or related field.
  • Spanish-speaking, persons who are bilingual in both English and Spanish (and who have excellent oral, reading, and written bilingual skills) are strongly encouraged to apply.
