Students in any concentration in the program who meet the minimum qualifications below may apply. The number of Teaching Associateships available is limited, and they are awarded by competitive application.

Department of Geological Sciences Teaching Associate (TA) Pool San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
CSUSB Geology Teaching Associates (TAs) may be responsible for one or more GEOL 1000L Introductory Geology Laboratory sections, or may support a faculty member in an upper division geology class. TAs teaching GEOL 1000L are solely responsible for their assigned section(s), including being present in person for all class meetings during the semester, being available for meetings with the laboratory coordinator and other teaching assistants, maintaining the shared lab space including cleaning up after assigned lab sections, assessing student work, and meeting with students outside of class during regularly scheduled office hours. TAs supporting an upper division geology class will work with the faculty member teaching the class to determine the TA responsibilities.
