Under general direction of the Director and in collaboration with the Manager, Talent Acquisition the Talent Acquisition Specialist provides support functions throughout the hiring life-cycle. The Incumbent contributes to the overall success of the of the Talent Acquisition program by providing high level customer service, performing complex business processes throughout the full cycle recruiting process, and by taking a consultative approach to advising hiring managers to ensure the attraction and selection of a broad and diverse pool of qualified candidates for staff and as needed support to management positions. This position will support the Director of Tribal Relations, NAGPRA Administrator and the Office of Government and Community Relations Associate Vice President in the University’s compliance activities and reports related to the federal and state NAGPRA legislation, including California Assembly Bills 275 and 389. Compliance with AB 275 and 389 will require a multi-phase process of inventory, consultation, correspondence, visitation, and eventually repatriation of curated collections to Native American tribes. In addition, will assist in compiling and managing records for the campus regulatory compliance supporting materials related to NAGPRA and CALNAPRA for the University. Lastly this position will provide additional support to the Office of Government and Community Relations as county and local outreach and community partnerships continue to grow CSUSB’s programs and services.
