Major Duties

Under general supervision, the Graduate Program Coordinator, Accounting supports academic program coordination, community outreach initiatives, student services, scholarship administration, accreditation activities, financial tracking, and departmental operations while collaborating with faculty, students, and external partners to ensure effective program delivery and operational efficiency.

  • Assists in the coordination/planning of the accounting undergraduate program, Master of Science in Taxation (MST) and Master of Professional Accountancy (MPA) programs.
  • Coordinator for the Department’s Community Outreach program sponsored by Moss Adams.
  • Provides liaison efforts to other departments; establishes and implements office procedures and manages the office workflow Establishes and implements office procedures and manages the office workflow.

Qualifications

  • Equivalent to five (5) years of full-time, progressively responsible administrative or technical office management experience in an administrative capacity exercising independent judgment and leading the work of others.
  • Equivalent to full-time college or university education/vocational school training in business or job-related field may be substituted for up to two (2) years of the required experience.

 

 Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Thorough knowledge of administrative and academic support practices within a higher education environment. Working knowledge of student information systems, financial tracking processes, and office procedures.
  • Ability to analyze data, compile reports, and present findings to support decision-making. Strong organizational, project coordination, and event planning skills.
  • Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures accurately. Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with students, faculty, staff, donors, and external partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, prioritize multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and use sound judgment. Proficiency with standard office software, database systems, and web-based applications.

 

Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule

  • The university offers an excellent benefits package, including but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, retirement & savings, tuition waiver and more.
  • Classification: 1035 / Admin Support Coordinator / Grade 2
  • The anticipated HIRING RATE is $ 4367 per month. The salary range for this classification is: $ 4367 - $ 6362 per month.
  • HOURS: Full Time; 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday.
  • This is a Regular position with a one-year probationary period. 
  • The individual hired for this role will physically work on-campus in Northridge. This is not a telecommute position.
