EOC is one of the Federal TRIO programs funded through the U.S. Department of Education. CSUSB’s EOC program is designed to identify, select, enroll, retain, serve, and assist 850 low-income, first-generation adults throughout the Coachella Valley. This program provides support to individuals who wish to complete their General Education Diploma (GED) and enroll in a program of post-secondary study, or are college-eligible individuals who wish to enter a program of post-secondary study, or individuals who previously stopped-out of a collegiate program who wish to re-enter a post-secondary program of study.

Under the direction of the Santos Manuel Student Union Associate Director of Diversity and Inclusion, the Santos Manuel Student Union First People’s Center Coordinator is responsible for planning, implementing, and assessing programs and initiatives to meet the diverse needs of the First Peoples’/Native American students on campus as well as supervising student staff, managing the FPC, and collaborating with campus partners to directly support the success of First Peoples/Native American students at CSUSB. In addition, the FPC Coordinator has the responsibility of ensuring the success of the Cross-Cultural center by providing comprehensive multi-cultural opportunities that promote education, and awareness while celebrating all cultural heritages for CSUSB students. The First Peoples’ Center Coordinator is an integral member of a hard-working team comprised of full-time and part-time staff within the Santos Manuel Student Union. The First Peoples’ Center Coordinator shall demonstrate the ability to work effectively with a diverse population of program members, guests, and staff.
Educational Counselor/ETS (UEC) San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
Assist with outreach, recruitment, and identification of eligible participants. Serves as liaison between Program, target high schools, and community agencies. Counsel and assist program participants in high school graduation requirements, college financial aid requirements and college admission. Develop and facilitate the career development, self-development and college placement classes and/or workshops. Provide guidance to the Talent Search Academic Advisor and Student Tutor/Mentor.
Center Manager/CSRI (UEC) San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
Under the general supervision of the Director of Operations, the Manager will carry out managerial responsibilities in accordance with CSRI/ UEC policies, procedures and applicable laws. This Manager will oversee CSRI’s San Bernardino parolee center, which provides case management and other services to parolees in the community.

The incumbent will perform the following core tasks: undergraduate counseling both academic and non-academic; data collection and analysis, outreach and success coaching for students; regular and effective communication with colleges, academic departments in the College of Natural Sciences (CNS) and student services offices around the campus; and, plan and execute student success campaigns. Also, help with recruiting students from community colleges and help with their successful transition to CSUSB. The over-arching goal is to promote student success outcomes including retention, timely degree progress, and graduation.

The Student Recruitment Specialist serves as the recruiter of new students into the Upward Bound Program.
