Accounting Services Lead (Accountant III) / General Accounting San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
The Accounting Services Lead shall possess a thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. This position will be responsible for month-end and year end closing, processing journals entries (including investment related activities), and serve as the primary contact for campus departments for general ledger transactions. Duties will include oversight of general accounting tasks including, but not limited to internal and external audits, audits of internal controls, account reconciliations (bank, accounts payable), chargebacks, transfers of expense, billing and cash posting orders. In addition, this position will examine financial documents/reports for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with GAAP, SAM, and established University policies and procedures. This position will analyze transactions from various systems and processes with the emphasis on improved efficiency.

The School of Computer Science and Engineering at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) invites applications for a tenure-track position in Computer Science at the Assistant Professor level, beginning August 2022. All areas of Computer Science will be considered. As one of the largest department/school in the College of Natural Sciences, the School of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) has 18 tenure-track faculty with a variety of research interests and approximately 1000 students with diverse backgrounds. CSE offers 4 undergraduate and 1 graduate programs, i.e., B.S. in Computer Science (ABET accredited), B.S. in Computer Engineering (ABET accredited), B.S. in Bioinformatics, B.A. in Computer Systems, and M.S. in Computer Science. Preferred candidates must demonstrate potential for excellence in teaching, research and scholarly activities. The candidate is expected to teach a variety of undergraduate courses in computer science domain and graduate courses in related areas of specialization, supervise student research at both undergraduate and graduate levels, and actively participate in other types of academic student advising. The candidate will serve the School, College and University, as well as the community and the profession. Department of World Languages and Literatures, Assistant Professor San Bernardino - Palm Desert Campus
The Department of World Languages and Literatures invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Latinx/Chicanx literature, which will start in August of 2022. This is a full-time, tenure-track position. In addition to expertise in Latinx/Chicanx literature and culture, additional specializations in translation, Spanish for the professions, applied linguistics, and/or related fields are desirable. The successful candidate will demonstrate a record of scholarship, teaching experience, and professional service commensurate with the rank of Assistant Professor. This tenure-track position will primarily be housed at the Palm Desert campus of CSUSB. Our Spanish faculty have been involved in interdisciplinary work across campus (Healthcare Spanish, Latinx/Latin American Studies, and Spanish for Criminal Justice). In addition, they are leading study abroad programs. The section needs a faculty member to participate and continue these relationships and to build additional interdisciplinary programs, particularly in the area of Spanish for the professions.

Assistant Professor - Sociology San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
The Department of Sociology at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) invites applications for a tenure-track position in Sociology (or related areas) at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning August 2022. Applicants should be able to teach courses in qualitative research methods. Secondary emphases should align with current departmental strengths. Teaching areas should include at least one of the following: social stratification, migration, environmental sociology, social welfare, or community engaged research. The Sociology Department at CSUSB (located in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences) is one of the fastest growing and most dynamic departments on the CSUSB campus. The Sociology Department is composed of diverse and experienced faculty whose teaching and research expertise contribute to students’ intellectual and professional development to address social inequalities and contribute towards social justice and equity. As of Fall 2021, the department has 15 tenure track/tenured faculty members, five part-time instructors, and nearly 1000 declared undergraduate majors. We offer a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with two concentration options "General Sociology" and "Social Services & Community Research," a Sociology minor, and a Certificate in Gerontology. Our faculty also teach in interdisciplinary programs including Gender & Sexuality Studies, Ethnic Studies, Social Sciences, and the Master of Arts in Social Sciences & Globalization. Under general supervision of the Accessible Technology Services Coordinator, the incumbent will serve as key technical advisor to the campus community on instructional materials and digital content accessibility-related issues. Incumbent will use assistive software and accessibility tools to review and remediate digital content such as PDFs, documents, video and audio, presentations, etc. Incumbent will manage captioning workflow for the campus, including providing supervision to student labor, proofing and editing captions, adding them post-production, working with content creators across campus, interacting with outside vendor, and offering training to staff and faculty.
