This is an 'On-Campus Only' Recruitment. Qualified applicants must be current employees of CSUSB. Under general direction of the Senior Director of Research and Sponsored Programs, this position performs highly complex sponsored programs functions which have very broad impacts not only to campus research initiatives but potentially to the whole CSU system. The functions of this position is critical to the success of the university’s extramural funding campaign initiatives. The incumbent will have high-level and specialized functions involving the analysis and interpretation of request for proposals/funding opportunity announcements, compilation of proposal components and related documentations, application, compilation, compliance, and presentation of complex data and information.

Department of Biology Chair (Internal Applicants Only) San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
The Chair for the Department of Biology will work collaboratively with the faculty to provide leadership in performing a shared vision for the department. The Chair must be committed to diversity and inclusion in all its forms. The Chair will oversee the budget, support and encourage student success, create partnerships in the community, and celebrate faculty, staff, alumni, and student achievements. The Chair is expected to provide leadership in facilitating long-term planning for professional involvement and development of the faculty and the Department, and mentor faculty effectively in meeting their responsibilities in teaching, research, and service. The Chair will represent the Department in requesting faculty, resources, and space from the College and University. The successful candidate will provide responsible and professional leadership in managing the day-to-day operational needs of the department, including supervision of support staff, scheduling courses, managing diverse student needs, monitoring assessment plans, evaluating and mentoring faculty, fiscal management, and allocating facilities and equipment for teaching, research, and service activities. The Chair will also represent the Department, College, and University with on and off-campus constituencies and maintain positive public relations with these groups. In addition, the Chair is encouraged to develop and participate in activities that support achieving the goals of the University's strategic plan.
Community Service Specialist (CSSI), Palm Desert Campus San Bernardino - Palm Desert Campus
Under the general supervision of the Director of Parking & Transportation the Community Service Specialist receives day-to-day lead work direction from a Lead Community Service Specialist II. Casework Supervisors are responsible for completing all Case Management Plans, monitoring client compliance, documenting client progress and activity, and reporting program violations. Orient new clients to program requirements and use assessment to determine client risk and develop a comprehensive case management plan. Casework Supervisors supervise the other caseworkers at the center jointly with the Center Manager.
Center Manager/CSRI Indio (UEC) San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
Under the general supervision of the Director of Operations, the Manager will carry out managerial responsibilities in accordance with CSRI/ UEC policies, procedures and applicable laws. This Manager will oversee CSRI’s Indio parolee center, which provides case management and other services to parolees in the community.

Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry Chair (Internal Applicants Only) San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry Chair Search Committee invites applications in an internal search for the position of Chair of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry for a 3-year term starting August 1, 2023. This is a twelve-month position. The Chair would lead a department that offers four undergraduate degree programs: B.S. Chemistry Concentration, B.S. Biochemistry Concentration, B.A. Chemistry Concentration, and B.A. Biochemistry Concentration. The department also co-hosts an interdisciplinary M.S. in Environmental Sciences (MSES) program. The Chair will be responsible for the overall operations of the department. Some of the general duties and responsibilities will include: working with faculty on curriculum development, program review, and student assessment; preparing agendas and holding regular department meetings to discuss updates and issues relevant to the department, including important university and college matters; monitoring the evaluation of part-time and full-time lecturers; evaluating and recommending faculty members for promotion and tenure; monitoring the department’s budget (with staff), including teaching laboratory expenses and equipment maintenance costs; and organizing teaching and advising assignments.
