Under direct supervision, the incumbent will provide direct services to students with disabilities and related staff/faculty support of facilitating student services, including clerical and administrative support. The incumbent will perform receptionist duties (answering telephones and greeting visitors); filing of documents; processing mail; typing forms, letters and memos; drafting reports and correspondence; and performing other clerical duties as assigned. The incumbent will assist in training student employees in front office procedures. Facilitates the Alternative Furniture accommodation. The Department of Art teaches students in the areas of Studio Arts, Design, Art History, and Visual Studies. Within this, students work in painting, printmaking, drawing, photography, ceramics, glass-making, sculpture, wood & furniture design, product design, graphic design for print, web-design, UX/UI design, motion graphics, and video making. Students in almost all of these classes make use of the growing number of digital electronic fabrication technologies in the workshops and studios in the VA Building. These include: four 3D Printers (plastics extrusion), two 3D Printers (ceramic extrusion), three 3D Scanners (desktop & handheld), Photogrammetry cameras & software, an industrial scale CNC Router (digitally controlled 4ft x 8ft x 9 inch cutting, scoring, routing & sculpting bed), two industrial-grade Universal Lasers (cutting, scoring, etching – rotational & flatbed 2ft x 1ft), professional grade Roland Printer/Plotter (2D digital printer & cutter – paper, card, vinyl), a digital laminator 2D, three large-scale 2D digital printers, four medium-scale 2D digital printers, and the Virtual Reality Ceramics suite.

The Executive Director (ED), Institutional Equity and Compliance, provides leadership in the administration of a comprehensive range of services, policies, and procedures related to equity and compliance. The Executive Director participates in all aspects of institutional planning in support of the mission and goals of the university ensuring that all faculty, students and staff have the opportunity to succeed. The Executive Director assists and supports campus efforts related to diversity, equity and inclusivity as needed. However, the primary responsibilities are to serve as the University Chief Compliance Officer with oversight over campus compliance with Title IX, Discrimination/Harassment/Retaliation (DHR), Whistleblower, and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). These programs are guided in the California State University (CSU) by CSU Executive Order 1095, Executive Order 1096, Executive Order 1097, Executive Order 1111, Executive Order 1115, Executive Order 1116, and CSU Conflict of Interest (COI). The Executive Director serves as the leader of the Office of Institutional Equity and Compliance (OEIC).
