The Associate Dean will ensure policy implementation, champion excellence in teaching and learning, and promote innovation to enhance student experiences. The Associate Dean serves as a member of the Watson College of Education Dean's leadership team, and reports to the Dean.
The Associate Dean is expected to assist with strategic planning and to implement initiatives related to the Mission and Strategic Plan of the College and the University. The Associate Dean supports the Dean in maintaining smooth, efficient, and effective operations in the college. |

The department includes eight programs serving a highly diverse student body and partnering extensively with regional P–12 schools and community organizations.
The Department Chair provides collaborative, equity-centered leadership within a shared governance environment and is responsible for advancing academic excellence, accreditation compliance, faculty development, student success, strategic planning, enrollment management, resource stewardship, and community engagement. The Chair reports to the Dean of the WCOE College and works closely with program coordinators, faculty, staff, district partners, university leadership, and University Advancement.
This is a 12-month administrative appointment with assigned time consistent with CSU policy and requires five days a week campus presence. The successful candidate must be eligible for appointment with tenure at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor. |

Working under a physician’s supervision and following established standardized procedures and/or process protocols, the Nurse Practitioner collaborates with the SHC Executive Director and supervising Physician(s) to develop and refine these procedures and define the position’s scope of practice. Responsibilities include performing physical examinations; diagnosing, treating, and managing illnesses and injuries; ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests; and counseling patients on preventive health. The Nurse Practitioner also leads infection prevention and control initiatives for the Palm Desert Campus SHC and participates in health promotion activities on campus.
