The Orientation Program Coordinator position supports the Director of New Student Orientation and Family Programs in meeting enrollment management goals and objectives by enhancing the transitional experiences of new students at CSUSB. The Orientation Program Coordinator assist with program planning and the execution of a comprehensive orientation programs for newly admitted first-year and transfer students during the Spring term for the San Bernardino campus and provides support for the Palm Desert campus. This position involves recruitment, training, and provides feedback of student assistants (Orientation Leaders), ensuring the effective execution of orientation and transition activities. This position works closely with colleagues in Student Affairs and Academic Affairs to shape experiences that promote student success, engagement, pride, and a strong sense of belonging. The role also includes shared responsibility for overnight orientation activities, upholding university policies, ensuring student safety, and responding to emergencies when needed. This position plays a vital role in fostering a welcoming and supportive environment for all new students, ensuring they have the tools and resources necessary to thrive at CSUSB. |
