| The Professional Writing Office is looking for enthusiastic individuals to work as Writing Consultants in our business-centered office. The position requires the following:
Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to shift communication style, tone and audience seamlessly
Exceptional writing and communication aptitude—able to skillfully manage a wide range of personalities and maintain sensitivity to diverse populations who may need additional tutoring assistance. Must be able to help with various formats associated with business, but also general mechanics and grammar
Able to manage ones time without losing focus or being distracted
Self-driven with a proven record of being able to pace oneself to complete tasks without direct supervision
A “can do” attitude who believes in delivering outstanding service to anyone who they come in contact with
Junior-level in good standing with a GPA of a 3.0 or higher in English/writing courses
Willing to perform general office tasks and promotions for a small campus office in order to garner new foot traffic
Must have transportation to campus to work with students in-person and via Zoom from the Professional Writing Office
Capable of organizing and presenting workshops to small groups (10 or less) students
Comfortable with AI use and the ability to coach students to use AI ethically and effectively |

| Under direct supervision of the Interim Director of the CSUSB Honors College and under the lead work direction of the Administrative Coordinator and Student engagement coordinator, the incumbent is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to the Honors College team. This will include cross-functional support to other areas of the unit as needed.
The Honors College Student Assistant will have a strong interest in assisting students and other cross-functional areas and drive to become a valued team member. Our ambition is to attract and retain the best talent in the market to continue our journey building a world class in-house Honors College team while carrying out the University’s mission and vision statement. |

| Student Research Assistants to help support one or two research projects. One project explores the development of AI-based counseling tools and its impact on student learning. The other explores the impact of food selection and eating habits on focus and student learning. Research Assistants may engage with one or both projects depending on interest and qualifications. |
