Department of Health Science & Human Ecology Part-time Lecturer Pool San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
The Health Science & Human Ecology (HSCI) Department at California State University, San Bernardino is seeking part-time lecturer applications from a diverse group of qualified individuals for our San Bernardino Campus (SBC). The department is seeking experienced, well-organized, and student-centered individuals to teach in any of our four programs: Environmental Health Science, Nutritional Science & Dietetics, Health Services Administration and Public Health. Candidates must have at least a Master’s degree, or specialized certification for activity classes, in a field of Health Science or related discipline. Preference will be given to candidates who have prior teaching experience at the college or university level and who can furnish evidence of strong teaching. Candidates should demonstrate their ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students. Preference will be given to those with experience in working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment. Preference will also be given to those with relevant work experience and those who bring professional capabilities. This is a pool of part-time lecturers for the department to draw on as necessary and all appointments are temporary. Staffing decisions are made on a rolling basis typically beginning a few months prior to the start of an academic term right up to the beginning of the academic term. We recommend submitting your application at least 4 months before the beginning of an academic term to be considered for available positions.
School of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Teaching Associate (TA) Pool San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
The School of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) offers paid Teaching Associate (TA) positions to qualified graduate students in our graduate level program. A TA is typically given the opportunity to teach CSE laboratory sections or introductory level CSE courses. TA's may be given one or two courses per term depending upon need, budget and availability as well as the continued recommendations of the Graduate Coordinator. TAs are paid as university employees (as opposed to being given tuition remission).

Candidates for this position should possess good organizational and communication skills with a drive to enhance student success. This position will involve teaching laboratory, discussion, and/or lecture sections in any of our subject areas: General Biology, Microbiology, Anatomy and Physiology, Cellular and Molecular Biology, Organismal Biology, Ecology and Population Biology, or specialized topics in the discipline. Candidates must have at least a Master’s degree, or specialized certification for lecture and/or activity classes, in the field of Biology or a related discipline. Candidates should demonstrate their ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students. Preference will be given to those with experience teaching in the appropriate field and in fostering a collaborative, supportive and inclusive learning environment. This is a pool of part-time lecturers for the department to draw on as necessary and all appointments are temporary. School of Social Work Graduate Assistant Position San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus, San Bernardino - Palm Desert Campus
The CSUSB School of Social Work seeks a graduate assistant who has strong research skills focusing on examining food insecurity in the Coachella Valley area, leveraging community-based partnerships to do so. In particular, this position will work directly with community partners to implement a cross-sectional survey and analyze survey data to further understand the nature of food insecurity in the Coachella Valley. The graduate assistant will play an active role on project teams with the University and community partners. Candidates must be able to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines, be well versed in basic research and evaluation strategies, methodologies and analytic approaches, have quality written and oral communication skills, and be able to manage positive relationships with community partners. This position provides the opportunity for conference presentations and peer-reviewed publications. The position requires approximately 6 hours per week through Summer 2025.

The Lab Teaching Assistant (TA) provides instructional support to faculty and students in a laboratory setting. The TA is responsible for assisting in the preparation, execution, and evaluation of laboratory sessions for undergraduate courses. Working Conditions: • Requires time in a laboratory setting, handling materials and equipment. • May involve standing for extended periods and occasional lifting of supplies or equipment. Executive Director (SMSU) San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
The Executive Director of the Santos Manuel Student Union, a 501 c3 auxiliary organization of CSU San Bernardino, provides leadership, management, direction, and financial oversight to all areas of the SMSU including all personnel, year-round programming, facilities & operations, administrative support services, and diversity & belonging-focused affinity centers. Oversight of CSUSB’s Recreation & Wellness Center is also under the purview of the Executive Director of the SMSU as student fees dedicated to the SMSU also support the Director, staff, and operations of the RecWell. Together, these areas serve more than 16,000 CSUSB students. The Executive Director also provides oversight of staffing and operations to the Rancho Mirage Student Center (RMSC) located on CSUSB’s Palm Desert Campus. The RMSC offers student engagement programming, similar to that of the SMSU, to the 2,000+ students who attend the PDC. The areas under the purview of the SMSU Executive Director employ approximately 40 managers & professional staff members and 250+ student employees. As part of the university’s commitment to shared governance, the Executive Director also works directly with and in support of the SMSU Board of Directors.
