The Department of Child Development at California State University, San Bernardino invites applications from a diverse group of qualified applicants for an Assistant Professor, tenure track position in Child and Adolescent Development to begin August 2023. The Department is seeking applicants who have expertise in children’s cognitive development to teach courses centered on cognitive development, language development, statistics, and research methodology. Qualified candidates are those that: • Possess the necessary content expertise, • Specialize in studying children’s cognitive and/or language development • Engage in scholarship and teaching supporting historically underrepresented groups, diversity, equity, and/or social justice. The Department of Child Development offers both theoretical and practical application courses, designed to help prepare graduates for direct service careers working with children of diverse backgrounds, to merge developmental knowledge with practical experience, and to prepare students for graduate training. The IDS Department seeks a full-time assistant professor to join a growing and dynamic faculty team. CSUSB’s cutting edge Cybersecurity program prepares students to solve the cybersecurity issues and concerns faced today in many corporate and government environments. This program’s foundation consists of skills required to succeed with a combination of technical skills, policy, teamwork, ethics, and professionalism. In 2022, the Cyber program renewed the NSA designation of Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (CAE-CD). Since receiving the CAE-CD designation, the program has secured a portfolio of $38m in grants and scholarships focused on cyber workforce. For qualifications, The position of assistant professor, tenure-track would begin Fall 2023. Qualifications for this position include: (1) An earned doctorate in Cybersecurity or, a closely-related discipline (ABD may be considered, Ph.D. required by Aug 2023), (2) Demonstrated ability or potential for excellence in teaching, research, and service to the university and to the profession, (3) Strong commitment to quality of student learning and program excellence, (4) Ability to obtain and conduct federally funded research that requires a top secret security clearance is preferred.

Department of Special Education, Rehabilitation and Counseling - Counseling Lecturer/Coordinator of Placement San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
The Department of Special Education, Rehabilitation and Counseling at California State University, San Bernardino invites applications for a full-time placement coordinator in Counseling beginning August 2023. The Counseling program is a master's degree program that houses two distinct concentrations: professional counseling and school counseling. We are searching for a full-time person to serve as placement liaison for up to 175 students in the masters in counseling program on both the San Bernardino and Palm Desert campuses. Students in the masters degree in counseling program are pursuing both LPCC licensure and a PPS credential and are required to complete practice hours as part of their educational experiences. Standards stipulate hours are regulated and vetted by the CTC for a PPS credential and the Board of Behavioral Sciences for licensure. Applicants will possess a minimum of a masters degree in counseling or a related degree, with intimate knowledge about the MS in counseling program, and the specific geographical needs and demographics on both campuses. Applicants should possess a blend of skill to advise students, coordinating large amounts of information, managing multiple needs of students, school sites, mental health sites, on-site placement supervisors, and faculty. The ideal applicant will have exceptional skills at developing management information systems to train supervisors in the community, articulate the flows of placement experiences for individual students using online tracking portals, ensure standards are being adhered to and updated as needed, developing new sites throughout the Inland Empire and Coachella Valley, ensure that memorandums of understanding are in place, and working closely with the faculty in the program as well as the entire student body.
Discovery and Systems Librarian/Senior Assistant Librarian San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
California State University, San Bernardino’s libraries invite applications from forward-thinking, usability-focused, collaborative, librarians to implement, maintain, and assess library systems which enhance discovery and access of library materials and services at our San Bernardino and Palm Desert campus libraries. The Discovery and Systems Librarian is a full-time, tenure-track position with the rank of Senior Assistant Librarian that reports to the dean of the libraries. You have primary responsibility for configuring, developing, and sustaining Primo VE, the platform behind the library’s OneSearch discovery system, and additional third-party library systems such as Springshare products. As the libraries’ liaison to ITS departments on both campuses, you represent the libraries’ needs and advocate for resources. You consult with them on library technology and supporting systems’ configurations, and maintenance as needed. You participate in reference service, collection development, and liaison duties. The successful candidate will be expected to meet retention, promotion, and tenure (RPT) standards for tenure-track library faculty in three areas: (1) professional assignment; (2) research, scholarly, or creative contributions; and, (3) university and/or community service. The library provides support for and fosters intellectual endeavors. Librarians are valued as faculty with their own varied research interests which may not be limited to library science. Applicants selected for in-person interviews will be reimbursed for any travel expenses they incur. Should the successful candidate need to relocate, moving expenses will be reimbursed.

Candidates should demonstrate teaching potential with a diverse student body at the undergraduate and graduate levels with a minimum of one semester as an instructor.
