The Department of History at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) invites applications for the Adina Lei Savin and W Benson Harer Visiting Scholar in Egyptology. A successful candidate will be a member of the CSUSB community for one semester, either Fall 2026 (mid Aug- mid Dec) or Spring 2027 (mid Jan – late May). This position is designed for scholars taking a semester sabbatical from a home institution or as a postdoc for an up-and-coming scholar. The applicant should specialize in Ancient Egyptian History, Archaeology, Religion, Society, or Art anytime between the Predynastic to the Roman Periods. The successful candidate will receive housing, a partial meal plan, $2,500 towards relocation expenses, and a $27,000 stipend. CSUSB hosts the Robert and Frances Fullerton Museum of Art (RAFFMA), which includes an important collection of approximately 500 artifacts dating from the Predynastic Period to the Coptic Period. Department of Geological Sciences Teaching Associate (TA) Pool San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
CSUSB Geology Teaching Associates (TAs) may be responsible for one or more GEOL 1000L Introductory Geology Laboratory sections, or may support a faculty member in an upper division geology class. TAs teaching GEOL 1000L are solely responsible for their assigned section(s), including being present in person for all class meetings during the semester, being available for meetings with the laboratory coordinator and other teaching assistants, maintaining the shared lab space including cleaning up after assigned lab sections, assessing student work, and meeting with students outside of class during regularly scheduled office hours. TAs supporting an upper division geology class will work with the faculty member teaching the class to determine the TA responsibilities.

Under the direction of the Chief Research Officer, the Project Technologist provides specialized, high-level technical leadership to the Office of Academic Research (OAR) by architecting and operationalizing information systems that modernize and automate sponsored research administration. The incumbent serves as OAR’s primary technologist for analytics and AI initiatives, translating complex, multi-step pre-award and post-award business rules (grants, contracts, and cooperative agreements) into secure, scalable, datadriven solutions that reduce administrative burden and improve compliance. Core responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining enterprisegrade Power BI research and funding dashboards for executive decision support; developing AI/agentic applications and chatbots that guide faculty and staff through funding discovery, policy interpretation, and reporting; and integrating data across campus and OAR platforms to create a single, governed source of truth for the Chief Research Officer. This work is missioncritical to OAR’s ability to grow research activity and is performed on campus in close collaboration with leadership and administrative units. The position requires advanced knowledge of information systems, business intelligence, and applied AI — and the ability to align technology with university research strategies.

CSBS - Program of Social Sciences Lecturer Pool San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
The Program of Social Sciences seeks applicants for its part-time lecturer pool. We are seeking experienced, well-organized, and student-centered individuals to teach in the subject area of social sciences. Candidates must have at least a Master’s degree in a field relevant to the curriculum of the social sciences. Preference will be given to candidates who have prior teaching experience at the college or university level and who can furnish evidence of strong teaching. A Ph.D. is desirable, but not required. Candidates should demonstrate their ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students. Preference will be given to those with experience in working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment. This is a pool of part-time lecturers for the program to draw on as necessary and all appointments are temporary. Staffing decisions are made on a rolling basis typically beginning a few months prior to the start of an academic term right up to the beginning of the academic term. We recommend submitting your application at least 4 months before the beginning of an academic term to be considered for available positions.
