Department of Kinesiology - Lecturer AY San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
The Kinesiology Department at California State University, San Bernardino is seeking part-time lecturer applications from a diverse group of qualified individuals for both our San Bernardino Campus (SBC) as well as our Palm Desert Campus (PDC). The department is seeking experienced, well-organized, and student-centered individuals to teach in any of our three concentrations: Allied Health Professions, Exercise Science, and Physical Education and Adapted Physical Education. Subject areas may include the following: Biomechanics, motor development, motor learning, physical education, adapted physical education, sport and exercise physiology, sport and exercise psychology, sociology of sport, statistics in kinesiology, and other kinesiology related classes such as, but not limited to, activities classes. Candidates must have at least a Master’s degree, or specialized certification for activity classes, in a field of Kinesiology or related discipline. Preference will be given to candidates who have prior teaching experience at the college or university level and who can furnish evidence of strong teaching. Candidates should demonstrate their ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students. Preference will be given to those with experience in working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment. Preference will also be given to those with relevant work experience and those who bring professional capabilities. This is a pool of part-time lecturers for the department to draw on as necessary and all appointments are temporary. Staffing decisions are made on a rolling basis typically beginning a few months prior to the start of an academic term right up to the beginning of the academic term. We recommend submitting your application at least 4 months before the beginning of an academic term to be considered for available positions.
Department of Health Science & Human Ecology Tenure Track Assistant Professor San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
Candidates should have general expertise in Public Health and specific expertise in Health Services Administration and/or Health Care Management to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Health Services Administration as well as Public Health. The Health Services Administration Program is designed to prepare our diverse student body for management roles in health care settings to enhance the quality and innovation in the delivery of health care services for all individuals. The Department serves approximately 800 students majoring in 4 undergraduate programs (environmental health science, health services administration, nutritional science and dietetics, and public health) and 3 graduate programs (Master of Public Health, Master of Science in Health Service Administration, and Master of Science in Nutritional Science). The newly hired faculty member would join a well-established department of 14 tenure-track and over 20 adjunct faculty members.
Lecturer-PT Pool Position Liberal Studies San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
The Liberal Studies Program at California State University San Bernardino is accepting applications on an on-going basis for our pool of part-time lecturers for upper and lower division Liberal Studies courses that address introduction, resources, portfolio development, and assessment of students preparing to pursue the multiple subjects teaching credential. The Liberal Studies program is housed under the College of Arts and Letters and offers a rich Liberal Arts & Liberal Studies educational experience through selected courses from a wide range of academic disciplines. The major consists of a common core and a choice of several tracks designed to meet diverse student interests and needs not only for teaching in schools, but also for leadership in government, non-profit organizations, and business, and for graduate education in law, counseling, social work and services, public affairs and administration, and educational leadership. The Liberal Studies option provides excellent preparation for Elementary teaching while the Liberal Arts option provides well-rounded preparation for post-baccalaureate degrees and for employment in business, non-profit, and government organizations.
Department of Geography Part time Lecturer Pool San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
The Department of Geography and Environmental Studies at California State University, San Bernardino invites applications for the part-time Lecturer pool. We welcome applications from candidates with expertise to teach undergraduate courses in the following areas: · Environmental Studies · Global Studies · Physical Geography · Human Geography (Cultural/Social/Political/Economic) · Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and geospatial techniques. Part-time faculty may be hired from this applicant pool as needed by the department to teach courses and be available for office hours. Part-Time Lecturer POOL - Dept. of Child Development San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus

We offer a variety of courses to students including those focusing on various age children (from 0-18), developmental domains (cognitive, social emotional, etc.), contexts of development (families, school environments, etc.), and critical issues (diversity, special education, assessment). The School of Computer Science and Engineering at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) invites applications for a tenure-track position in Computer Science at the Assistant Professor level, beginning August 2024. All areas of Computer Science will be considered. As one of the largest department/school in the College of Natural Sciences, the School of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) has 18 tenure-track faculty with a variety of research interests and approximately 1000 students with diverse backgrounds. CSE offers 4 undergraduate and 1 graduate programs, i.e., B.S. in Computer Science (ABET accredited), B.S. in Computer Engineering (ABET accredited), B.S. in Bioinformatics, B.A. in Computer Systems, and M.S. in Computer Science. Preferred candidates must demonstrate potential for excellence in teaching, research and scholarly activities. The candidate is expected to teach a variety of undergraduate courses in computer science domain and graduate courses in related areas of specialization, supervise student research at both undergraduate and graduate levels, and actively participate in other types of academic student advising. The candidate will serve the School, College and University, as well as the community and the profession. Psychology Part-Time Lecturer Pool San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
The Department of Psychology seeks applicants for its part-time lecturer pool. We are seeking experienced, well-organized, and student-centered individuals to teach in the following subject areas: general psychology, biological psychology/neuroscience, clinical psychology, cognitive psychology, developmental psychology, social psychology, and statistics. Candidates must have at least a Master’s degree in a field relevant to the curriculum of the Department of Psychology. Preference will be given to candidates who have prior teaching experience at the college or university level and who can furnish evidence of strong teaching. A Ph.D. or extensive professional experience is desirable for teaching upper-division courses (300- or 400-level) and required for 500-level graduate courses. Candidates should demonstrate their ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students.
