Access Services Librarian/Senior Assistant Librarian San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
In this highly visible position, you will be assisting library users and monitoring multiple library functions. Expect to work closely with people, technology, and a variety of media formats. · Oversee the daily operations of the Circulation, Course Reserves, and Interlibrary Loan departments at the Pfau Library and the corresponding services at the PDC. The latter will require regular consultation and interaction with the PDC librarian. · Supervise, train, and evaluate full-time, unionized employees in your unit. · Coordinate with the Head of Library Technology and Media Services regarding circulation of digital devices, including the circulation component of the Library Multimedia Center. · Oversee scheduling and coverage of the access services as detailed above, and keep the dean informed about any issues. · Connect with relevant campus units regarding departmental services, policies, and employment. As a tenure-track faculty librarian, you will also work to meet tenure standards in three areas: Professional Assignment; Research, Scholarly, or Creative Contributions; and University and/or Community Service. The Department of Mathematics is one of nine departments within the College of Natural Sciences at CSUSB. We offer four bachelor degrees and a masters degree, as well as a minor in mathematics, a Certificate in Introductory Actuarial Mathematics, and a Subject Matter Authorization. Our CSUSB mathematical community is known for being warm, welcoming, and supportive. Our classes are relatively small, especially at the upper division level. The Department of Health Science & Human Ecology at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) invites applications from a diverse group of qualified applicants for a position of Department Chair, tenured, at the rank of Full or Associate Professor to begin August 1, 2022, or sooner if the successful candidate is available. The position is a combination of a 12-month appointment as a three-quarters time Department Chair and an academic year appointment as a one-quarter time faculty member. An earned doctorate degree (PhD, MD, DrPH) or other terminal degree from an accredited institution in Health Sciences or a related field is required by time of appointment. Preference will be given to applicants in the areas of Environmental Health Science, Health Services Administration, Health Care Management, Nutritional Science and Dietetics, Global Health, Public Health Services Management, Biostatistics, Public Health Nutrition and/or Public Health. Candidates should be qualified for appointment at the level of Full or Associate Professor, with strong preference for those who are qualified to be appointed as Full Professor. Qualified candidates must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring a diverse student population and to working effectively with faculty, staff and students across a wide range of disciplines. The Department of Health Science & Human Ecology serves over 800 students majoring in 4 undergraduate programs (Environmental Health Science, Health Services Administration, Nutritional Science and Dietetics, Public Health) and 2 graduate programs (Master of Public Health, Master of Science in Health Service Administration), with an M.S. program Nutrition Science to start in Fall 2022.
