Executive Director (SMSU) San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
The Executive Director of the Santos Manuel Student Union (SMSU), a 501 c3 auxiliary organization of CSU San Bernardino, provides leadership, management, direction, and financial oversight and serves as the senior executive accountable for strategic direction, fiscal stewardship, policy implementation, risk management, and effective administration to all areas of the SMSU including all personnel, year-round programming, facilities & operations, administrative support services, diversity & belonging-focused affinity centers, and the Recreation & Wellness Department (RecWell). Together, these areas serve more than 16,000 CSUSB students through programs, services, facilities, employment opportunities and student engagement experiences. The Executive Director also provides oversight of staffing and operations to the Rancho Mirage Student Center (RMSC) located on CSUSB’s Palm Desert Campus. The RMSC offers student engagement programming, similar to that of the SMSU, to the 2,000+ students who attend the PDC. The areas under the purview of the SMSU Executive Director employ approximately 40 managers & professional staff members and 250+ student employees. As part of the university’s commitment to shared governance, the Executive Director also works directly with and in support of the SMSU Board of Directors. The Executive Director supports informed Board governance by preparing recommendations, timely reports, and decision materials, and by implementing Board-approved priorities in coordination with SMSU management/staff and university leadership.
Associate Vice President, Human Resources (Administrator III), Division of Human Resources San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
The Associate Vice President for Human Resources provides strategic leadership and oversight for all HR functions serving the CSUSB community. Reporting to the Vice President for Human Resources, the AVP serves as a key advisor to campus leadership and oversees workforce planning, talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, employee relations, organizational development, compliance, and HR policy administration. The AVP ensures compliance with applicable laws and CSU policies, fosters a diverse and inclusive workplace, and leads a high-performing HR team. The position collaborates with campus and CSU system partners, leads strategic HR initiatives, and provides executive-level leadership in the absence of the Vice President for Human Resources.

California State University, San Bernardino is currently seeking a Chief of Police and Director of Public Safety. Candidates must minimally possess extensive supervision level experience in leading and managing a law enforcement workforce; Cal State is seeking an individual who is well-rounded, with experience in administration, investigations, and patrol. All candidates must possess current management and advanced California POST certifications or eligibility to attain them within 12 months of hire. Candidates from other states should consider the extensive California POST requirements for certification of experienced peace officers. A typical candidate will possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university--with study in the areas of criminal justice administration, business administration, psychology, or a related field preferred--or an equivalent combination of education and management-level experience in an agency of similar size and complexity. A master's degree is desirable along with prior University law enforcement experience and knowledge of University regulations.
Per Diem Nurse Practitioner (Per Diem, Non-Exempt), Student Health Center - Temporary - Palm Desert Campus San Bernardino - Palm Desert Campus
Under the general supervision of a Physician and direction of the Executive Director, the Nurse Practitioner provides a wide range of primary health care services within the Student Health Center (SHC) including assessment, diagnostic, and preventive and health maintenance services at the Palm Desert Campus. The incumbent works under the supervision of a physician using established standardized procedures and/or process protocols. The Nurse Practitioner collaborates with the SHC Executive Director and their supervising Physician(s) to develop standardized procedures and/or process protocols and scope of practice for their position. The incumbent provides a wide range of primary health care services, such as conducting physical examinations; diagnosing, treating, and managing illnesses and injuries; ordering tests and interpreting the results; and counseling patients on preventive care. This position is primarily located at the Palm Desert campus and may work occasionally on the San Bernardino campus.

The role partners across Academic Affairs and external stakeholders to implement strategies that close equity gaps and support student achievement. Under the direction of the Santos Manuel Student Union (SMSU) Director of Student Diversity and Belonging, the Senior Coordinator provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the LatinX Center and First People’s Center (FPC) within the Santos Manuel Student Union. This position supports the SMSU’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion by fostering culturally affirming environments, advancing student development, and managing initiatives that promote the retention and success of LatinX and Native/Indigenous students. The Senior Coordinator supervises professional and student staff, manages center operations, implements culturally relevant programs, and collaborates with campus and community partners to enhance support for historically underserved populations.

The Conflict Resolution Manager will be a campus-wide leader in strengthening the campus culture and climate and enlivening a sense of community and belonging.
