| As a division of Academic Affairs, Academic Success & Undergraduate Advising (ASUA) provides advising and academic support to all CSUSB students. ASUA helps students establish and maintain a sense of belonging with the university through academic support services and programs. ASUA facilitates pathways to graduation and enhances the undergraduate and graduate experience. ASUA specialized student-support programs include Academic Advising, Coyotes Achieve, Peer Advising, Early Assessment Program (EAP), Student Mentoring Program (SMP), Coyote Experience, Yotie Oso, and the Student Success Studio (S3) at PDC, Academic Support programs include Tutoring, Supplemental Instruction (SI), Academic Testing, and the CSUSB Writing Centers (for graduate and undergraduates). We value the inherent academic potential in all CSUSB students, and through interactions with our staff members, students are guided to make well-informed educational decisions and plan to create the most meaningful education for themselves. | Literacy Specialist: The Literacy Specialist supports the operations of the Watkins and Associates Literacy Center at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB). This role is responsible for training CSUSB students in effective tutoring methods and providing guidance in lesson planning, student assessments, and instructional activities. The Literacy Specialist also manages the scheduling of tutoring sessions, matches tutors with students, and maintains accurate records of all center activities. This position plays a key role in ensuring a high-quality tutoring experience for both tutors and the students they serve. |

| The Department of Art & Design, as part of the College of Arts & Letters at CSUSB, offers bachelor's degrees in art history, design, studio art, and art education, plus a graduate program offering an MA in Art and an MFA in Studio Art. The department serves approximately 500-600 students in its majors per year, plus other students from across the campus. The core approach taken to teaching across all the areas of the department focuses on visual and material literacy, as well as critical and discursive analysis of art, design, and other cultural productions. Students that we serve gain a broad base of skills in the areas of art and design making, as well as research, critical thinking, problem-solving, and writing. Through our programs, we strongly encourage an open approach to understanding how all aspects of art, design, and cultural production contribute to imperatives of diversity and community engagement.

| The primary responsibility of the Cadet is to attend the prescribed training sessions to learn the principles, practices and theory of criminal and civil law enforcement, as well as codified and case law.
