Typical Activities
Under minimal supervision of the Clinical Manager, the TALK Lead Associate will work independently to:
TALK Session Leadership: Take charge of leading and supervising TALK sessions, ensuring that the program's objectives are met and that sessions progress smoothly.
Positive Child Guidance (PCG) Documentation: Oversee the completion of PCG forms during TALK sessions, which capture crucial details and insights about parent-child interactions.
Feedback and Debriefing: After each TALK session, conduct debriefings with participating parents, offering constructive feedback, celebrating positive interactions, and discussing alternative approaches when needed.
TALK Intern Management: Coordinate closely with TALK Interns (TIs), ensuring that they are effectively aligned with the program's goals and methodologies.
Recruitment and Training: Collaborate with university and community college partners to recruit and train TIs, ensuring that they are well-equipped to support TALK sessions and provide valuable insights.
Stakeholder Communication: Proactively engage with justice-involved individuals and their families regarding TALK programming, answering queries, addressing concerns, and ensuring their informed participation.
Data Management and Reporting: Track, organize, and report TALK data related to attendance, completions, and outcomes to the Clinical Director and Administrative Research Analyst, ensuring transparency and providing insights on program efficacy.
Scheduling and Coordination: Manage communication and scheduling for TALK sessions with families, ensuring a streamlined and efficient process.
Participant Management: Create and maintain participation lists for justice-involved individuals and their families, ensuring an accurate record of all active and prospective TALK participants.
Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of the latest developments in child development and parenting strategies, and adapt the TALK program as necessary to provide the best possible outcomes for participants.
Other Duties: Tackle any other responsibilities or tasks as they arise, ensuring the overall success and growth of the TALK program.
