University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB ("UEC") supports the university's educational mission by providing quality services that complement the instructional program. The University depends upon UEC to provide services that cannot be supported with state funds. We’re responsible for business enterprises on campus including, but not limited to, dining, bookstore, convenience store, and vending services. We also serve as the grantee for federal, state, and local funding for research and sponsored projects.

Position Summary

Temporary, Non-Exempt, Full Time, Benefitted position through 6/30/2025 (Appointment may be renewed annually based upon availability of funds, availability of work and satisfactory job performance). 

Salary: $3,300.00 per month.

Location: Palm Desert Campus.

Work Schedule

40 hours per week. Typically, Monday-Friday from 8:00AM to 5PM. Some nights and weekends may be required.

Typical Activities

Under minimal supervision of the Department Chair for Nursing, the Administrative Asssitant will work independently to provide administrative support to the Department of Nursing at the Palm Desert Campus:

  • Answer all inquiries for the BSN, RN-BSN and MSN programs.
  • Manage all aspects of the admissions process.
  • Assist with student orientations/ceremonies/events.
  • Assist with compliance process.
  • Assist with student permits and registrations.
  • Maintain files; process purchase requisitions, accounting forms and time sheets as needed; and other duties as assigned. 
  • The position will also virtually assist the San Bernardino campus as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma
  • Experience: 1 year administrative and clerical work experience.
  • Other:
    • Answering and directing phone calls to appropriate personnel.
    • Responding to and managing emails, ensuring timely replies
    • Organizing and maintaining physical and digital files.
    • Monitor and maintain office supplies inventory.
    • Assisting with the organization of events and meetings.
    • Entering and updating data in databases and spreadsheets.
    • Assisting in coordinating with external vendors and service provides.
    • Knowledge of MS Office – Word, Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a university setting.
