University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB ("UEC") supports the university's educational mission by providing quality services that complement the instructional program. The University depends upon UEC to provide services that cannot be supported with state funds. We’re responsible for business enterprises on campus including, but not limited to, dining, bookstore, convenience store, and vending services. We also serve as the grantee for federal, state, and local funding for research and sponsored projects.

Position Summary

Temporary, Staff, Full Time, Non-Exempt, Benefited position through 12/31/2027 (Appointment may be renewed annually based upon availability of funds, availability of work and satisfactory job performance). 

Salary: $3,640.00-$4,160.00 per month.

Location: CSUSB Campus.

Work Schedule

40 hours per week. Typically 8:00AM to 5:00PM Monday through Friday. Some evenings and weekends may be required.

Typical Activities

Under minimal supervision of the Operations Manager, the Project Specialist will work independently to:

  • Processing all program related expenses for BLUE/PRIME programs.
  • Supporting collaboration between districts, schools, CSUSB faculty and staff, other project partners and the BLUE/PRIME programs.
  • Supporting the recruitment of students into courses and activities.
  • Supporting specialized academic and other events such as summer residential programs, project symposiums and completion celebrations.
  • Keep inventory of project technology, supplies and materials.
  • Supporting event coordination between staff, partners, community members, invited guests, etc.
  • Supporting logistical aspects of event planning, including space reservations, parking, hospitality, etc.
  • Supporting event registration, and other data in various platforms, as needed.
  • Assisting with campus collaborations.
  • Participation in staff, district, community and other meetings.
  • Taking and providing edits to meeting minutes and other program documents, as needed.
  • Supporting the completion of reports.
  • Performing other program related duties as assigned.
  • Occasional travel within San Bernardino and Riverside counties, including travel to the CSUSB Palm Desert Campus and other program locations, is required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Experience:
    • 2 years of professional experience
  • Other:
    • Applicants must have strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
    • Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
    • Applicants must possess the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information, along with the ability to work cooperatively with a diverse group of people, exercise sound judgement, determine priorities, complete assigned projects in a timely manner and work well under tight deadlines.
    • Applicants must possess the following critical strengths including but not limited to: reliability, attention to detail, and strong self-initiative.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in a K-12 and/or higher education setting.
