| The School of Criminology and Criminal Justice seeks applicants for its part-time lecturer pool. We are seeking experienced, well-organized, and student-centered individuals to teach on the San Bernardino Campus in the following subject areas: Social Network Analysis, Crime Prevention, Victimology, Correctional Administration, Police Administration, Terrorism, Juvenile Justice, Women & Crime, Domestic Violence, Drugs and the Criminal Justice System.
Candidates must have at least a Master’s degree in a field relevant to the curriculum of the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice. A Ph.D. or extensive professional experience is desirable. Preference will be given to candidates who have prior teaching experience at the college or university level and who can furnish evidence of strong teaching. Preference will also be given to those with relevant work experience and those who bring professional capabilities.
This is a pool of part-time lecturers for the department to draw on as necessary and all appointments are temporary. Staffing decisions are made on a rolling basis typically beginning a few months prior to the start of an academic term right up to the beginning of the academic term. | Reporting to the Dean of the CSUSB Libraries, the Student Success Librarian will coordinate library outreach and instruction efforts for first- and second-year students and transfer students. Working closely with the Outreach Librarian and Instruction Librarian, this person will promote library services, programs, and collections through external partnerships, program development, workshops, and targeted support. The Student Success Librarian will remain current with developments and trends in teaching, research, and learning that impact CSUSB students, such as AI tools, and will be proactive in incorporating such developments in instructional and programmatic library offerings.
The successful candidate will be expected to meet retention, promotion, and tenure standards for tenure-track library faculty in three areas: (1) professional assignments; (2) research, scholarly, or creative contributions; and (3) university and/or community service.
