Assistant Professor in Cybersecurity in the Department of Information Decision Sciences San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
The IDS Department seeks a full-time assistant professor to join a growing and dynamic faculty team. CSUSB’s cutting edge Cybersecurity program prepares students to solve the cybersecurity issues and concerns faced today in many corporate and government environments. This program’s foundation consists of skills required to succeed with a combination of technical skills, policy, teamwork, ethics, and professionalism. In 2022, the Cyber program renewed the NSA designation of Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (CAE-CD). Since receiving the CAE-CD designation, the program has secured a portfolio of $38m in grants and scholarships focused on cyber workforce. For qualifications, The position of assistant professor, tenure-track would begin Fall 2023. Qualifications for this position include: (1) An earned doctorate in Cybersecurity or, a closely-related discipline (ABD may be considered, Ph.D. required by Aug 2023), (2) Demonstrated ability or potential for excellence in teaching, research, and service to the university and to the profession, (3) Strong commitment to quality of student learning and program excellence, (4) Ability to obtain and conduct federally funded research that requires a top secret security clearance is preferred.
Department of Special Education, Rehabilitation and Counseling - Counseling Lecturer/Coordinator of Placement San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
The Department of Special Education, Rehabilitation and Counseling at California State University, San Bernardino invites applications for a full-time placement coordinator in Counseling beginning August 2023. The Counseling program is a master's degree program that houses two distinct concentrations: professional counseling and school counseling. We are searching for a full-time person to serve as placement liaison for up to 175 students in the masters in counseling program on both the San Bernardino and Palm Desert campuses. Students in the masters degree in counseling program are pursuing both LPCC licensure and a PPS credential and are required to complete practice hours as part of their educational experiences. Standards stipulate hours are regulated and vetted by the CTC for a PPS credential and the Board of Behavioral Sciences for licensure. Applicants will possess a minimum of a masters degree in counseling or a related degree, with intimate knowledge about the MS in counseling program, and the specific geographical needs and demographics on both campuses. Applicants should possess a blend of skill to advise students, coordinating large amounts of information, managing multiple needs of students, school sites, mental health sites, on-site placement supervisors, and faculty. The ideal applicant will have exceptional skills at developing management information systems to train supervisors in the community, articulate the flows of placement experiences for individual students using online tracking portals, ensure standards are being adhered to and updated as needed, developing new sites throughout the Inland Empire and Coachella Valley, ensure that memorandums of understanding are in place, and working closely with the faculty in the program as well as the entire student body.
Lecturer-PT Pool Position Liberal Studies San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
The Liberal Studies Program at California State University San Bernardino is accepting applications on an on-going basis for our pool of part-time lecturers for upper and lower division Liberal Studies courses that address introduction, resources, portfolio development, and assessment of students preparing to pursue the multiple subjects teaching credential. The Liberal Studies program is housed under the College of Arts and Letters and offers a rich Liberal Arts & Liberal Studies educational experience through selected courses from a wide range of academic disciplines. The major consists of a common core and a choice of several tracks designed to meet diverse student interests and needs not only for teaching in schools, but also for leadership in government, non-profit organizations, and business, and for graduate education in law, counseling, social work and services, public affairs and administration, and educational leadership. The Liberal Studies option provides excellent preparation for Elementary teaching while the Liberal Arts option provides well-rounded preparation for post-baccalaureate degrees and for employment in business, non-profit, and government organizations.

Psychology Part-Time Lecturer Pool San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
The Department of Psychology seeks applicants for its part-time lecturer pool. We are seeking experienced, well-organized, and student-centered individuals to teach in the following subject areas: general psychology, biological psychology/neuroscience, clinical psychology, cognitive psychology, developmental psychology, social psychology, and statistics. Candidates must have at least a Master’s degree in a field relevant to the curriculum of the Department of Psychology. Preference will be given to candidates who have prior teaching experience at the college or university level and who can furnish evidence of strong teaching. A Ph.D. or extensive professional experience is desirable for teaching upper-division courses (300- or 400-level) and required for 500-level graduate courses. Candidates should demonstrate their ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students. Preference will be given to those with experience in working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment. Preference will also be given to those with relevant work experience and those who bring professional capabilities. This is a pool of part-time lecturers for the department to draw on as necessary and all appointments are temporary. Staffing decisions are made on a rolling basis typically beginning a few months prior to the start of an academic term right up to the beginning of the academic term. We recommend submitting your application at least 4 months before the beginning of an academic term to be considered for available positions.
