Per Diem Nurse Practitioner (Per Diem, Non-Exempt), Student Health Center - Temporary - Palm Desert Campus San Bernardino - Palm Desert Campus
Under the general supervision of a Physician and direction of the Executive Director, the Nurse Practitioner provides a wide range of primary health care services within the Student Health Center (SHC) including assessment, diagnostic, and preventive and health maintenance services at the Palm Desert Campus. The incumbent works under the supervision of a physician using established standardized procedures and/or process protocols. The Nurse Practitioner collaborates with the SHC Executive Director and their supervising Physician(s) to develop standardized procedures and/or process protocols and scope of practice for their position. The incumbent provides a wide range of primary health care services, such as conducting physical examinations; diagnosing, treating, and managing illnesses and injuries; ordering tests and interpreting the results; and counseling patients on preventive care. This position is primarily located at the Palm Desert campus and may work occasionally on the San Bernardino campus.

The Nurse Practitioner also leads infection prevention and control initiatives for the Palm Desert Campus SHC and participates in health promotion activities on campus. This role is primarily based at the Palm Desert campus, with occasional work at the San Bernardino campus.

The Program Manager oversees the RESET Program, ensuring the delivery of effective housing stability and community reintegration services. This position provides leadership and supervision to Housing Navigators, guiding them in developing personalized housing stability plans, coordinating rental assistance, and delivering wraparound case management. The Program Manager ensures services are culturally relevant, trauma-informed, and aligned with evidence-based practices. Preference is given to candidates with Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) certification to provide expert guidance on Substance Use Disorder (SUD) counseling and relapse prevention. In addition, the Program Manager maintains strong partnerships with parole agents, BSCC, CDCR, local housing providers, and community-based organizations to expand access to transitional and permanent housing, reduce barriers and stigma for justice-involved individuals, and strengthen supportive service networks.

The Tutor/Mentor will work directly with middle school and/or high school students to assist them in core academic classes; execute a peer tutoring model, conduct group and/or individual tutoring and/or mentoring sessions, provide study and note taking lessons, share learning techniques with students, meet with students periodically to assess academic progress, assign students specific responsibilities between tutor/mentor sessions, and refer students to a variety of materials and resources.
Parent Educator/ The Parenting Center ICDFR (UEC) San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
Provide parent education courses for parents/caregivers in an in person group format or online. Duties include facilitating 9-session parenting courses. Parent educators may also be asked to do “onetime” presentations on various parenting topics in the local area. Parent educators will also be expected to complete necessary paperwork and facilitate after-class debriefing sessions with children’s program staff as needed. Parent educators must follow a fully developed parent education model (and will be trained to use this model before leading groups).
