The position serves as the liaison between the university, the U.S. Air Force, cross-town academic partners, and external organizations, requiring thorough knowledge of university infrastructure, policies, procedures, and Air Force ROTC processes.
Work is performed independently under general supervision, and assignments are varied and complex, requiring judgment and diplomacy in handling confidential information and sensitive issues in accordance with established procedures.
Serves as a resource for the program coordinator, faculty, and students to ensure smooth workflow and program support. Collaborates in a team environment to track and complete assignments. | CSUSB Geology Teaching Associates (TAs) may be responsible for one or more GEOL 1000L Introductory Geology Laboratory sections, or may support a faculty member in an upper division geology class. TAs teaching GEOL 1000L are solely responsible for their assigned section(s), including being present in person for all class meetings during the semester, being available for meetings with the laboratory coordinator and other teaching assistants, maintaining the shared lab space including cleaning up after assigned lab sections, assessing student work, and meeting with students outside of class during regularly scheduled office hours. TAs supporting an upper division geology class will work with the faculty member teaching the class to determine the TA responsibilities. |
