| Under the direct supervision of the Chief of Police, the Lieutenant is responsible for providing leadership in management to personnel, direct and indirect supervision of all personnel assigned to Patrol Operations and UPD personnel. The Lieutenant is also expected to assist in managing the Communications Unit and is responsible for providing management and oversight of University camera system and IT-related issues and projects that address public safety concerns and enhance public safety delivery on campus.
The Lieutenant will ensure proper adherence of department’s policies by patrol personnel. The incumbent is responsible for the protection of life and property and the enforcement of all pertinent laws within the jurisdiction of the University Police Department, California State University, San Bernardino. The incumbent will also be responsible for special event planning, management and supervision of the K9 unit, motorcycle unit, liaison to allied law enforcement agencies, firearms training, police fleet management, management of university and police public safety cameras, body-worn camera and naloxone programs, and other duties as assigned. |

| The Department of Biology at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) is seeking part-time Instructional Student Assistant (ISA) applications from qualified individuals for our San Bernardino Campus (SBC) and/or our Palm Desert Campus (PDC). Candidates for this position should be students in good standing at CSUSB and should possess good organizational and communication skills. The ISA positions may involve various duties including assisting Biology staff, faculty, and students; assisting Instructional Support Technicians in preparation for laboratory or other course needs as appropriate; and assisting faculty and course instructors in tasks such as grading, tutoring, and assessment. Candidates should have a commitment to teamwork and should work closely with the staff/faculty/instructors to which they are assigned.
This is a pool of students for the department to consider for ISAs, and all appointments are temporary. Decisions on assignment of ISAs are made on a rolling basis, normally between several months before and up to the beginning of the academic term.
