The Department of Public Administration seeks an energetic and innovative educator to join the team as a full time Lecturer beginning August 2021. Candidates must be qualified to teach NASPAA and AACSB accredited courses in both upper division undergraduate and Master’s level public administration. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching (online and face to face) and practitioner experience.
Full Time Lecturers focus on teaching. The teaching load for a Full Time Lecturer begins at a 5/5 load, but may be reduced through academic qualifications and other duties, including online and large class courses. Teaching responsibilities may include courses at either the San Bernardino or Palm Desert Campuses.
Qualified candidates must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring a diverse student population and to working effectively with faculty, staff and students across a wide range of disciplines. |

Designed to advance machine learning and AI research, TIDE features a high-performance computing architecture built on GPUs, powerful processors, and ample storage. The Graduate Assistant will support facilitation and outreach efforts, which may include conducting HPC and AI research (e.g., reading papers, testing models, and building tools), maintaining websites and documentation, responding to support requests, and enabling use of TIDE by developing software containers, data workflow scripts, and CI/CD pipelines. |
