Department Summary

The mission of the Masters of Business Administration (MBA) program at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration (CBPA) is to offer a high-quality master's level education. The program prepares students for positions of responsibility and leadership in business administration, emphasizing conceptual knowledge and practical skills.

 

Job Summary

Under general supervision, the incumbent will be responsible for all graduate student engagement programs within the MBA program, including; implementation, development, coordination, oversight, and improvement. The incumbent will oversee the administrative and operational management of the MBA program and office. Additionally, the incumbent will create, train and administer student academic processes related to the MSEI program and its functions.

 

Employment Status: Full-time, temporary, "exempt" position (with the possibility of converting to permanent).

 

First Review Deadline: This position will remain open until filled. The initial review of applications will begin on September 30, 2021.

 

Work Schedule

  • Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Some weekends and evenings may be required.

Key Qualifications 

  • Ability to interpret and apply program rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of university policies and procedures related to graduate admissions.
  • Ability to utilize PeopleSoft, Webadmit, university purchasing systems, and Office 365.
  • Ability to obtain factual and interpretative information through interviews; reason logically; collect, compile, analyze and evaluate data and make verbal or written presentations based on these data.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with faculty, CSU administrators, student organizations, private and public agencies, and others in committee work, and student advising and community contacts.
  • Knowledge of the methods and problems of organizational and program management.

Education and Experience:

Experience: Possession of these knowledge and abilities is typically demonstrated through the equivalent of two years of professional experience in one of the student services program areas or in a related field; experience should give evidence of competence and indicate the potential for further growth. A master’s degree in a job‑related field may be substituted for one year of the professional experience.

 

Education: Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university in one of the behavioral sciences, public or business administration or a job‑related field. Additional specialized experience during which the applicant has acquired and successfully applied the knowledge and abilities shown above may be substituted for the required education on a year‑for‑year basis.

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • A master’s degree in one of the behavioral sciences, public or business administration, or a job‑related field.
  • Working knowledge of procedures and processes related to the operation of a graduate program.
  • Experience working in a higher education institution.

Salary:

Anticipated Hiring Range: $4,304 per month

Classification Salary Range: $4,304 - $6,120 per month
