ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The John M. Pfau Library is the main library for the San Bernardino campus. Because we are a commuter campus, the library is usually buzzing with activity in the daytime, but quiet on evenings and weekends.  The Helene A. Hixon Information Resource Center is a one-room library at the Palm Desert Campus, about an hour and a half away from campus.  Currently we have 9 library faculty and 22 staff; 1 librarian and 1 staff member work full time at PDC.  The best thing about working here is the friendly and collegial group you would be joining.  CSU employees are unionized; separate unions advocate for the interest of faculty and staff.  To find out more about us, at https://www.csusb.edu/library or libguides.csusb.edu/instructionlibrarian
