University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB ("UEC") supports the university's educational mission by providing quality services that complement the instructional program. The University depends upon UEC to provide services that cannot be supported with state funds. We’re responsible for business enterprises on campus including, but not limited to, dining, bookstore, convenience store, and vending services. We also serve as the grantee for federal, state, and local funding for research and sponsored projects.

Position Summary

Temporary, part time, non-benefited position through 12/31/2024 (Appointment may be renewed annually based upon availability of funds, availability of work and satisfactory job performance). 

Salary: $24-28.50 per hour

Location: Palm Desert, CA

Work Schedule

Up to 19 hours per week. Schedule to be arranged, but typically Monday through Friday within the hours of 8AM-5PM. Some nights and weekends may be required.

This position will remain open until filled.

Typical Activities

Under minimal supervision of the PI & Co-PI the Simulation Technician will work independently to:

1. Collaborate with faculty to develop or plan and implement simulated learning that meets the students’ learning objectives.
2. Prepare and set up the simulated environment including moulage to maximize student learning.
3. Plan and publish schedules for simulation.
4. Coordinates maintenance of equipment and supplies in the skills/sim lab.
5. Plan, discuss, and implement areas for improvement with faculty and students.
6. Collect and report simulation data to PI, Co-PI, and other DON committees

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree

Experience: Simulation Technology

Additional Qualifications: Proficient in simulations, NLN guidelines and/or other standards. Strong customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experienced in preparing, implementing, and debriefing in simulations.
