The Department of Special Education, Rehabilitation and Counseling within the College of Education is seeking applications for a pool of part-time lecturers as needed. Possible appointments include University Supervisor/Clinical Supervisor and providing instructions to courses in the master’s degree programs or teaching and pupil personnel services (PPS) credential programs. Applications are welcomed from candidates with one or more of the following specialties: Counseling and Guidance, School Psychology, Special Education, and Rehabilitation Counseling. Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications, experience and time base.
School of Social Work Part-time Lecturer Pool San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
The School of Social Work seeks applicants for its part-time lecturer pool to teach bachelor’s and master’s level classes in micro practice, macro practice, human behavior in the social environment, research methods, and practicum seminar at our San Bernardino and Palm Desert Campus locations. Minimum qualifications include a master’s degree in social work from a CSWE accredited program or a doctoral degree in social work, two years’ post master’s work experience, evidence of teaching effectiveness, and experience working with diverse populations and community partners. Preferred qualifications vary depending on the type of course assigned and may include: a PhD (research methods) or an LCSW (micro practice/practicum seminar, and 5 years’ experience in clinical social work (micro practice/practicum seminar). This is a pool of part-time lecturers for the department to draw on as necessary and all appointments are temporary. Staffing decisions are made on a rolling basis typically beginning a few months prior to the start of an academic term right up to the beginning of the academic term. We recommend submitting your application at least 4 months before the beginning of an academic term to be considered for available positions.

Department of Kinesiology - Lecturer AY San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
The Kinesiology Department at California State University, San Bernardino is seeking part-time lecturer applications from a diverse group of qualified individuals for both our San Bernardino Campus (SBC) as well as our Palm Desert Campus (PDC). The department is seeking experienced, well-organized, and student-centered individuals to teach in any of our three concentrations: Allied Health Professions, Exercise Science, and Physical Education and Adapted Physical Education. Subject areas may include the following: Biomechanics, motor development, motor learning, physical education, adapted physical education, sport and exercise physiology, sport and exercise psychology, sociology of sport, statistics in kinesiology, and other kinesiology related classes such as, but not limited to, activities classes. Candidates must have at least a Master’s degree, or specialized certification for activity classes, in a field of Kinesiology or related discipline. Preference will be given to candidates who have prior teaching experience at the college or university level and who can furnish evidence of strong teaching. Candidates should demonstrate their ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students. Preference will be given to those with experience in working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment. Psychology Part-Time Lecturer Pool San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
The Department of Psychology seeks applicants for its part-time lecturer pool. We are seeking experienced, well-organized, and student-centered individuals to teach in the following subject areas: general psychology, biological psychology/neuroscience, clinical psychology, cognitive psychology, developmental psychology, social psychology, and statistics. Candidates must have at least a Master’s degree in a field relevant to the curriculum of the Department of Psychology. Preference will be given to candidates who have prior teaching experience at the college or university level and who can furnish evidence of strong teaching. A Ph.D. or extensive professional experience is desirable for teaching upper-division courses (300- or 400-level) and required for 500-level graduate courses. Candidates should demonstrate their ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students. Preference will be given to those with experience in working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment. Department of Physics & Astronomy- Assistant Professor San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
The Department of Physics and Astronomy at California State University, San Bernardino invites applications from a diverse group of qualified applicants for an Assistant Professor tenure-track position to begin August 2026. The Department offers B.A. and B.S. degrees in Physics, with minors in astronomy and applied physics, and is currently in the planning stages for an interdisciplinary M.S. degree in Materials Science, which is associated with the Center for Advanced Functional Materials (https://www.csusb.edu/center-advanced-functional-materials). Under the general supervision of a Physician and direction of the Executive Director, the Nurse Practitioner provides a wide range of primary health care services within the Student Health Center (SHC) including assessment, diagnostic, and preventive and health maintenance services at the Palm Desert Campus. The incumbent works under the supervision of a physician using established standardized procedures and/or process protocols. The Nurse Practitioner collaborates with the SHC Executive Director and their supervising Physician(s) to develop standardized procedures and/or process protocols and scope of practice for their position. The incumbent provides a wide range of primary health care services, such as conducting physical examinations; diagnosing, treating, and managing illnesses and injuries; ordering tests and interpreting the results; and counseling patients on preventive care. This position is primarily located at the Palm Desert campus and may work occasionally on the San Bernardino campus.

The Administrative Support Coordinator will assist the Director of Tribal Relations, the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA) Administrator, and the Associate Vice President for the Office of Government and Community Relations in the University’s compliance activities and reporting related to federal and state NAGPRA legislation, including California Assembly Bills 275 and 389. Compliance with these requirements involves a multi-phase process of inventory, consultation, correspondence, visitation, and eventual repatriation of curated collections to Native American tribes.

Reporting to the Dean of the CSUSB Libraries, the Student Success Librarian will coordinate library outreach and instruction efforts for first- and second-year students and transfer students. Working closely with the Outreach Librarian and Instruction Librarian, this person will promote library services, programs, and collections through external partnerships, program development, workshops, and targeted support. The Student Success Librarian will remain current with developments and trends in teaching, research, and learning that impact CSUSB students, such as AI tools, and will be proactive in incorporating such developments in instructional and programmatic library offerings. The successful candidate will be expected to meet retention, promotion, and tenure standards for tenure-track library faculty in three areas: (1) professional assignments; (2) research, scholarly, or creative contributions; and (3) university and/or community service. Department of Music - Assistant Professor San Bernardino - San Bernardino Campus
To lead our Bachelor of Music undergraduate program in Music Therapy as program director and professor. This position will include program development, as our program is in its initial stages, as well as liaison responsibilities with sites (and practitioners) in the Inland Empire and San Bernardino County that provide music therapy. This position is thus both student-facing and community-facing, and will involve student advising and recruiting responsibilities, as well as oversight for music therapy clinical fieldwork and internships. Along with teaching and program-building, this position also supports active involvement in research and professional scholarship. TYPICAL ACTIVITIES • Lead and continue to develop CSUSB’s new BA in Music Therapy program • Develop the BA in Music Therapy curriculum as needed • Teach undergraduate courses in music therapy, as well as additional courses in the Department of Music as needed • Recruit and advise all music therapy students • Coordinate and supervise internships and clinical fieldwork in music therapy • Serve as liaison with clinical supervisors and internship site supervisors, creating and maintaining these relationships • Attend all department faculty meetings and serve on departmental, college, and university committees • Maintain membership in the American Music Therapy Association • Maintain active involvement in research and professional scholarship • Other duties as assigned Qualified candidates must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring a diverse student population and to working effectively with faculty, staff and students across a wide range of disciplines.
