University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB ("UEC") supports the university's educational mission by providing quality services that complement the instructional program. The University depends upon UEC to provide services that cannot be supported with state funds. We’re responsible for business enterprises on campus including, but not limited to, dining, bookstore, convenience store, and vending services. We also serve as the grantee for federal, state, and local funding for research and sponsored projects.

Position Summary

Temporary, Exempt, Full Time, Benefited position through 6/30/2025 (Appointment may be renewed annually based upon availability of funds, availability of work and satisfactory job performance). 

Salary: $6500.00-$7687.50 per month

Location: Based out of the four San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department jail facilities and the FAITHS Throughcare Program community site, involving fieldwork under various conditions.

Work Schedule

Exempt. 40 hours per week. Typically Monday-Thursday 6:30am-5:00pm. Some nights and weekend work may be required.

Typical Activities

Under minimal supervision of the Clinical Supervisor, the Clinical Service Practitioner II will work independently to:

  • Manages TALK Lead Associates, overseeing the operation of the TALK program, and ensuring its alignment with organizational goals. 
  • Helps with staff evaluations, provides constructive feedback, and supports professional development.
  • Trains staff and interns, enhancing their skills and understanding of program requirements.
  • Continues personal clinical work, maintaining involvement in direct client services.
  • Conducts risk and diagnostic assessment of biopsychosocial conditions. Evaluates
  • client's social functioning and family/group dynamics. Determines factors such as abuse, isolation, abandonment, and mental impairments through formal assessments.
  • Develops individualized treatment plans and programs.
  • Develops and maintains a trusting, professional relationship with clients. Provides in-depth counseling and case management services as needed.
  • Collaborates and coordinates the provision of services for clients with treatment, care, transition, or service plans.
  • Interfaces with other providers, family, and support groups to provide optimal care.
  • Uses counseling skills to assess and diffuse situations and achieve client/family stabilization.
  • Prepares narrative and statistical reports of case records, findings, and recommendations. Writes case documentation, treatment, care, or transition plans and/or court reports.
  • Serves as a casework consultant/trainer for other staff members, community agencies, and other professionals on complex psychosocial issues.
  • Writes, revises, or updates policies and procedures as part of a team.
  • Performs special assignments, including coordinating court activities, coordinating provider contracts, and monitoring case documentation for legal compliance.
  • Takes part in recruitment, training, and supervising TALK Interns.
  • The travel requirements for this position include regular travel between the four San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department jail facilities and the FAITHS Throughcare Program community site. This travel is essential for overseeing the TALK program and ensuring effective program delivery. The position may also require occasional travel for training, meetings, or other program-related activities.
  • Other Duties as Assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: A Master's degree from an accredited institution in behavioral science, human services, social work, counseling, psychology, public health administration, business/public administration, hospital administration, or closely related field of study.
  • Experience: Pre-Licensed as an LMFT or LCSW with less than 500 hours required for licensure, and a minimum of 3 year of related experience
  • Other: 
    • Ability to conduct risk and diagnostic assessment of biopsychosocial conditions
    • Experience with crisis intervention and stabilization and case management.
    • Knowledge of substance abuse disorder and related issues.
    • A strong background in child development, parenting, and developmentally appropriate, positive child guidance.
    • Ability to work with a diverse population including communication with people from diverse cultures, ethnic backgrounds, socio-economic levels, and educational levels.
    • Ability to work in a team setting.
    • Ability to handle multiple work priorities, organize work projects and complete them in a timely manner.
    • Safe driving record and valid drivers license. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with justice-involved individuals and families.
