Under the immediate direction of the Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support related to the formation of partnerships with Economic Development Departments and regional economic development stakeholders in the Inland Empire. This is a project initiated by the Supervisor and supported through an Office of Community Engagement "Establishing Community Partnerships Grant", awarded in December 2024.
The Student Assistant will have a strong passion local economic development and outreach/network development, as well as a keen interest in the ability of data to help empower decisionmakers.
The goal of the project is to develop a thick network of Economic Development Departments and other regional policymakers interested in using data to make more informed policy decisions that help grow their economy and community more broadly, while carrying out the University's mission and vision statement for heightened community engagement. |
